Sitting all alone in the crowded pub, at a table in the corner was none other then Lily Potter. This was the second Hogsmeade visit of the year and so far Lily was not enjoying it. She sipped her butterbeer as she glanced around hopping someone would come along. She laughed as a group of 3rd year Ravenclaw boys drooled over madam Rosemerta.
"What is wrong with me" she wondered to herself. It's been a week since her encounter with Christien where she told him everything. She wondered, that if she wasn't Quidditch captain maybe he'd look at her different. She shook her head, being Quidditch Captain was the one thing that she wanted more then anything in the world, ever since she was a little girl and would listen to Harry's tales. But right now at this moment, she'd give up everything to make Christien realize that just because she was captain didn't mean that she was joking about her feelings.
Lily Potter may be half Weasley, but she wasn't like her Uncles, she enjoyed a good joke, but she didn't prank. She wasn't just saying that she liked him because her, and the team needed a good laugh, it was because she really did have feelings for him. She really really did like Christien. She in a way understood his reasons, but then again she didn't understand him.

He was met by a rush of warm air, a glad respite from the chilly fall breeze. Kevin Malfoy looked around the packed pub, and noticed, to his dismay, that the only available table had a Potter sitting at it already. He mustered up his courage, and fought his way through the crowd towards Lily and he solitary table.
"H-hey," he said, a slight shiver running through his body. "Mind if I sit here? There's no where else." He stood there, looking stupid, waiting tensely for an answer.

Lily looked up, hesitating for a moment she smiled. "I don't mind" she muttered, the smile faded from her face when she saw who it was. She didn't mind the Malfoy boy, it's just the fact that their fathers have been enemies since their first year at Hogwarts.
Lily sipped her butterbeer slowly, she glanced at Kevin and sighed. Lily wasn't exactly everyone's favourite company right now. Telling Christien she liked him was a total diaster, and her and her sister weren't exactly on the greatest of terms right now.
"They didn't exactly pick a perfect day for an outing huh" Lily said putting her butterbeer down, and pushing a strand of red hair out of her eyes.

Butterbeer, Bryn could definitely go for. Unfortunately, every other Hogwarts student had the exact same thought. The Three Broomsticks was crowded with robust students, all relieved to get away from the castle-- a day without worrying about schoolwork. Normally, Bryn preferred to stay back during the Hogsmeade trips. During those weekends, the castle was close to empty, which Bryn liked. But today she felt the urge to come along on the trip. She was all caught up on homework, and thought maybe Hogsmeade would be a good event to put in her letter to her parents, should she ever get around to sending Emeric off to them.
Bryn entered the bar, searching for a vacant table in the midst of the many Hogwarts cliques taking up seats. Bryn approached the bar to order herself a butterbeer from Madam Rosemerta. The barmaid fixed her drink, which Bryn accepted after putting down several Sickles. She sipped her butterbeer, leaning her back against the bar, her eyes darting around in such a way that suggested paranoia.
At last she spotted an empty chair. Bryn almost took a step towards it, but then she noticed the occupants already around the same table. Her sister, Lily, and a Malfoy boy. If only Isabelle Flint would join them-- then the table would be Bryn's perfect nightmare. To be fair, Bryn had never had much contact with Kevin Malfoy, but he was a Malfoy-- and a Slytherin come to that. And her last name was Potter, even if Bryn was not very-- well, you know. Potter-like. So Slytherins had never exactly warmed up to her.
Bryn cast a helpless look to the rest o the bar. Damn. Nothing else. And so Bryn sat at their table, choosing a seat a couple of places away from either of them, hoping to make clear that she wasn't with either Lily or Kevin. Oh what the hell. Bryn thought feircely, What doesn't kill you...

"Not exactly," he laughed. You idiot! Stop being friendly, it's just a momentary fling of a friendship. You're just sitting at her table, nothing special. He grmaced to himself, totally forgetting the other at the table. She's a Potter, you're a Malfoy. You're going to get your drink, and leave! Go to Madame Puddifoot's if you have to! He stopped his thoughts here, swallowing the bile that rose in his throat at the thought of the cozy-enough-to-puke tea shop. Kevin shook his head, a pleasant smile working its way painfully onto his face. "Nice weather, isn't it?" YOU IDIOT! STOP TALKING! Father will kill you! Just order a Butterbeer and leave. Some of his thought shone through to his face. His hands twitched, his will power barely preventing a slap across his own face.

Bryn forgot to pretend that Kevin and Lily didn't exist when she heard Kevin's voice. The Malfoy boy was actually attempting to converse with her older sister! This was most unexpected... or perhaps not. It would be just like a Slytherin, wouldn't it? Bryn thought viciously Trying to get all buddy-buddy with the ones he's planning on hexing to last century. He's just trying to get in with the right people.
And Lily Potter seemed like a perfectly logical choice; she was an innocent Gryffindor, popular, friendly, perfect for getting the inside information-- on Quidditch strategies (as Lils was captain) or anything else Malfoy might have planned. The thought that she might be going completely paranoid never even crossed Bryn's mind. She was sure she was seeing right through Kevin Malfoy's oh-so transparent attempt to 'make friends' with Lily Potter. Gimme a break.
"Look, Malfoy." Bryn said coldly, "You're wasting your time, we both know it." She might have stopped there, but Bryn felt like adding a bit of insult to the both of them. "And anyway, Lils already has herself a little boyfriend. You couldn't compete with him anyway." She told Kevin pointedly looking the boy up and down.

"'Scuse me? Since when would I want a date with a Potter?" He glared at her, his lip curling in the Malfoy traditional sneer. "It so happens that there is no where else to sit. I'm here for the same reason you were." He returned the glance up and down her form, his blue eyes blazing with hatred. "As if you would ever want to be caught with your sister."
He crossed his arms, lowering his eyebrows slowly. The expression turned into a deep scowl, and he shifted his weight off of one foot. The Slytherin leaned back, looking casually angry. What and idiot, he thought, to think that I would want anything to do with her... race.
"Besides, I'm surprised she even got a boyfriend. And I doubt you ever will," he said, returning the insult that she had thrown at him.

Bryn gave Kevin a blank look. "Why would I want a boyfriend? It's not like I would trust a boyfriend anymore than I'd trust those supposed 'friends' everyone talks about." Bryn rolled her eyes impatiently, and added in a deathly cold voice, "If you aren't here for the fabulous company, why don't you take your drink and your greasy hair and get out of here. Don't you have any friends of your own?" She added, sharply, sneering right back at Malfoy. Under the table, Bryn had clamped her hand around her wand, feircely debating whether or not she ought to try out an interesting little jinx she had learned the other day. A non-verbal spell-- Levicorpus.
