Sample Of Writing: Parker was sitting on the pasture fence facing the barn. Her shoulder length blonde hair was pulled into a messy bun, a few lose strands fell into her face, she pushed the hair behind her ears, and her icy blue eyes scanned the grounds watching the others go about their business. Parker was a shy person even around ppl she's known for a few years, and usually waited for people to approach her first.
Parker turned her head and watched Apollo prance around the pasture, his head held high. "Show off" Parker said quietly out loud while laughing. She turned her head back to the barn and scanned the area for someone she knew. Not seeing anyone and figuring she was the only one around she turned her attention back to the 5 year old 17hh Friesian Stallion that was still prancing about the pasture like he owned the place. Many people around the barn thought Apollo was dangerous because he was hard to get near if Parker wasn’t around, and she was the only one who could mount him. It wasn’t his fault; he didn’t ask to be this way. His mother had died giving birth to him and Parker was the only mother he’s ever known, so of course he’d only respond to her.
Parker jumped off the fence and walked into the barn, she walked to stall number 7 and opened it, she walked in and quickly mucked out Apollo's stall and laid new bedding and refilled his water and feed buckets. Then parker picked up the lead rope and walked out of the stall latching the door behind her. She walked past the lesson arena and smiled. Then she went and opened the pasture gate.
She walked in and called to Apollo, who at the sound of Parkers voice spun around and trotted towards her. Parker greeted him with a kiss on the nose and a sugar cube. She clipped on the lead rope and led Apollo out of the pasture and to the cross ties. She tied him there and ran to get his saddle and bridle. Once she got his saddle & bridle she quickly tacked him up, untied him and mounted.
She fixed her feet in the stirrups, and nudged Apollo into the jumping arena. She set him at a medium trot over some ground poles to warm him up, and then she urged him into a canter around the ring, Apollo's head was held high, maybe a little too high sometimes, and Parker had forgotten her helmet yet again. Parker pulled the reins and Apollo turned in the direction of the first jump which he cleared with perfect ease. Now generally Friesian’s are more of a dressage horse, but Parker trained him well in the arts of show jumping, barrel racing, western pleasure, and trail riding.
Parkers mind was on her problems, her parents sent her away, to live with her uncle on his ranch, but he died leaving it all to her. She wasn't quite paying attention; she pulled on Apollo's reins in the direction of the trails. Once on the trails, again not seeming to be paying attention to Apollo’s movements, he veered off onto a trail that went deeper into the woods. Returning to reality and realizing where she was she urged him into a canter down the woodsy path away from the stable.
Parker got so far into the woods, that she could no long see the stable. She slowed Apollo to a stop, she took the backpack off her back and the bag that was tied to Apollo's saddle, she dropped them on the ground, she nudged Apollo with her heels, into a jog, and then she nudged him into a canter, then finally into a gallop. She stretched her arms out as Apollo flew over a fallen tree.
Everything seemed to be going in her favor; the perfect cooling wind was created by Apollo’s galloping. She opened her eyes as Apollo’s hind legs hit the ground. He continues to gallop, kicking up mud behind him. Parker grabbed the reins once more as she pulled hard and veered Apollo around the path that led in a circle, then onto another one in the opposite direction. “Everything is prefect” she said leaning down and clapping Apollo hard on the neck. However everything wasn’t perfect, everything changed at the drop of a hat, and the next thing Parker knew she was hitting the ground, and was knocked out.
After minutes, that seemed like hours her eyes slowly flickered open, and she realized where she was at once and what had happened. She slowly pushed herself into a sitting position, a wave of dizziness hit her but she shook it off. She looked around for Apollo. “Where is he?” she muttered, and then she heard it, that shrill whiney. She instantly stood up and began to run; she didn’t care about the dizziness or the blood that trickled down from her forehead. She stopped dead in her tracks when she saw him, her beloved companion and best friend, lying on his side, tangled in a barbed wire fence. She dropped to her knees by his side, she managed to get the wire from around his neck, but the rest of him was hopelessly tangled.
She knew that she didn’t have the skills to save him, and she knew that she was to far from the stable and it would take hours to run for help, and by the time she’d gotten back he’d be dead, there was nothing else she could do. Tears began to fall from Parker’s eyes as she rested a hand on his neck, Apollo tried to lift his head but he was to weak. “Its okay” she cooed, rubbing his neck in small circles like she used to do when he was born. Hours passed by and Apollo’s breathing began to slow, his heart was slowing down. Parker continued to pet his neck, tears dripped off her chin onto Apollo’s muzzle. Parker leaned down and placed a kiss on the Friesians muzzle, and watched as her bestfriend took his final breath.

Name: Lily Ginerva Molly Potter
Age/Year: 16/6th
Blood: Half Blood
Wand: Unicorn Hair, Yew, 9 inches
Personality:Lily is very laid back, down to earth sort of person. She’s got great people skills, which she inherited from her mother, along with that she’s got both her parents temper, it doesn’t take much to make her mad. She is usually surrounded by her friends while at school and by her rather large family while she’s on holidays. However when something just isn’t right with her, she tends to isolate her self, to give herself time to think, and to reflect. She is very much like her father when it comes to her homework, she usually leaves it to the last minute but somehow managed to get it done and maintain decent grades.
Appearence: Lily has firey red hair, that hangs straight just at her shoulders, she has emerald green eyes. There’s a sprinkle of freckles across her nose, that are only visible in the summer when it’s warm, and when she’s out in the sun. Her frame is average height and slim, she stands at about 5’6” which a little weird is considering her background. Lily's style is most of the time casual and comfy. Form fitting tee-shirts and halter tops with hip hugging jeans under her house robes. She also likes to be comfortable, so on weekends when she doesn’t have to wear her school robes, she’ll wear a hoody that fits her well, but is still comfortable. Also on her feet, are black trainers, unless she’s lounging around at the burrow, then it’s slippers, or her steel toe quidditch boots.
Parents: Harry and Ginny Potter
House: Gryffindor
Grades: Decent just like her dad, also is very good in Defence Against the Dark Arts.
